  15.                                                 •    If the iMate extension has a red "X" through it        _____________

  17.                                                      You may have not run the Apple updates correctly. The updates are needed on the early iMacs 
  18.                                                      that run at 233 Mhz (Bondi Blue). Check the version of the Mac OS ROM file in your System Folder 
  19.                                                      by single-clicking on the file and selecting Get Info -> General Information from the File menu. The 
  20.                                                      version number will be toward the bottom of the window. It should be version 1.2 or later. Soe later 
  21.                                                      version no longer appear in the "About this Macintosh" window. On these versions, the version 
  22.                                                      number can be found using the Apple System Profiler. Open Profiler under the Apple menu and select 
  23.                                                      "devices and volumes". The version will be on the left side of the screen under USB 0.

  25.                                                      Make sure the iMate works correctly without the iMate drivers installed. This can be tested by 
  26.                                                      connecting an ADB keyboard or mouse. No driver is needed for basic mouse and keyboard functionality.
  27.                                                      If it doesn't work, please contact Griffin Technical Support.

  29.                                                      If your iMate is working properly with a mouse or keyboard connected without the drivers installed, and 
  30.                                                      you have the Apple updates installed correctly, and the latest iMate drivers are installed, and you still 
  31.                                                      get a red "X" through the iMate driver icon, you should contact Griffin Support.

  33.                                                 •    If there is no ADB icon at the beginning of startup        _____________

  35.                                                      Make sure the iMate driver is installed. The easiest way to install it is to drop the iMate USB Driver 
  36.                                                      ontop of your system folder. You will see a dialog box verifying you want to place it in your Extensions 
  37.                                                      folder. Click OK and the driver will be installed.

  51.                                                      You will see this message when dropping the iMate driver ontop of the Sytem folder.

  54.                                                 •    If you are unable to use the shift key to turn off extensions        _____________

  56.                                                      You may have another keyboard attached . During boot up the iMate performs as a standard USB keyboard 
  57.                                                      and mouse. When an Apple keyboard is attached it will become the primary device during boot up and it 
  58.                                                      would be the only keyboard that can disable extensions. The only known fix at this time would be to disconnect 
  59.                                                      the Apple keyboard. As an interesting side note. This same behavior can be observed when attaching two 
  60.                                                      Apple USB keyboards. Only one of them would be able to disable extensions.
